making friends...
driving out along some goat track in the middle of nowhere we came across a donkey standing in the middle of the road... in the ensuing stand-off, it became clear the donkey wasn't going to be the one moving first... so we carefully edged the car around, half on the road, half off until he was level with the passenger window... he didn't move so i wound down the window to have a chat...
and the donkey liked the chat so much that he stuck his head right in through the window...
and he spent so much time with his head inside the car that the other donkeys got curious and came over for a closer look
until there was practically a queue of them, waiting patiently for their turn to stick their head in the window...
i don't know what it was all about, but what i do know is that it took us quite some time to persuade our new friend that his head was better off outside the car.... and then we continued on our way....
